DAILY SUMMARY
2018-04-06
Flying Friday!
The day started quite nice, the sky was blue, sun was shining and high pressure are was moving towards us. Everybody was excited to race. Though, the wind was quite strong and weather hardly predictable so Dominik and Vlado decided for the AATs for 2:50 hours for all classes. Launching procedure started at 12 loc after our sniffer reported some thermal activity. It went smoothly without any major issues. Around 15:45 first gliders were reporting final and landings had started. Also some outlandings had been reported. Speaking to pilots the weather was very challenging and "weirdly behaving", some pilots were high, some almost always low, thermals were blue and turbulent so pilots had to fight hard to complete the task. Luckily with AATs it was possible and we had a valid day. We finished day with farewell party listening to live rock music and eating goulash.
