One more comment from German Team. They have flown the mountains today and their comment on the weatehr there is: "Absolutely fantastic".
It is a pity the good weather have not come earlier :o(2008-03-30 18:32:10
The weather finally turned up and we had excellent day. All the 15m class gliders are back home having true 1000pt day.

Only one outlanding so far - DI some 37km out to the south.
2008-03-30 12:41:41
24 out-of-contest pilots, closing by LS, are all towed to the air. Enjoy the day
2008-03-30 12:35:42
The start line is open now. The pilots will be heading to the first turnpoint in the North. Good luck guys.

Olala. One huge column created above the airfield
2008-03-30 12:17:21
The last one from 15M class - PV with Jarek Lewinski - is gone. There are 18 pilots competing today. Now the courageous pilots who are ready to follow the same task or just to enjoy the clear sky are about to be towed.

N2, N1, DI... disappearing fast. The cloud bases about 800m for now
2008-03-30 12:00:03
The order for is given - launching! The towplanes engines covered Sunday church bell ringing. The competition day has started, with Mircea Craciun and Wim Akkermans.
2008-03-30 11:53:56
DG 1000 taking the role of testing machine has already launched. Another about 35 gliders are ready to follow within a few minutes. Besides 15M class there are more pilots who will take their task as a personal challege
2008-03-30 11:48:46
Seems like 12:00 launches will be valid. There are some small thermals are also in Nitra but even nice popped up above the mountains and also South from Nitra.
2008-03-30 11:14:43
The situation looks nice but we need some more thermals to be developed. We pushed the start time to 12:00
2008-03-30 10:24:09
Only one type of task delivered today as only 15M class stayed in the competition. But the briefing was still quite full of people, many pilots stayed to profit from the promissing weather conditions for the next days. Dominated by German junior team. Assigned area again more to the South, crossing Hungarian border, min. 192/max. 475km. See you on the grid at 11:15

Good sunday morning. We have the briefing at 10:00 today. The early fog is disappearing and it seems to be very nice flying day. The grid closed at 11:15 and first launches expected at 11:30
