People slowly started gathering in the hangar around 5pm. First we had the goulash that tasted great thanks to the wonderful chefs that were preparing it for us since morning. Then the actual Price Giving Ceremony took place and we could congratulate Gerrard G. Dale from the club class, Tomasz Rubaj from the 15M class, Wolfgang Janowitsch from the open class and from the 20M 2Seat Andre Weidlich with his copilot for becoming the winners of our competition.
When the prices were given we had an amazing opportuninty to see the whole video from the Grand Prix in Chile and it was stunning. We were also introduced the places where the qualificational Grand Prix takes place this year.
After that there was just free discussion and drinking. We could hear some stories and experiences not only from this competition and it was nice. Some pilots said good bye and left for the long journey that was in front of them.
Now the airport seems quite lonely. People, gliders, trailers, vans and tents are gone and the airfield is empty. But it´s time to get back to studies and work. That´s how it goes.
