Because it´s still raining and there is not much going on at the airport I decided to tell you something about our Slovak traditions on Easter.People start celebrating Easter on Thursday. In Slovakia, it is reffered to as Green Thursday. At 10 am the bells on the church stop ringing in honor to the death of Jesus Christ who had been crucified on Friday. During "Big Friday" christians are fasting to show their grief. On "White Saturday" the bells are finally untied. People don´t usually do anything special on this day. People go to church on Sunday where they celebrate that Jesus Christ was risen from the death. After the church, family meets and they have a big meal together. There is loooots of food involved:) I think it is similar in the rest of the Europe. Though the Easter Monday is very specific. Little boys go around the homes of their friends and relatives to throw water on girls and then whip them with long willow sticks - korbáče. Men usually just do that symbolically with perfume (usually a smelly one) while boys are doing that with great enthusiasm. Women are really "greatfull" to them and they give the men chocolate eggs and money in return! Weird tradition, I know :P Accoarding to the beliefs the water and whipping gives women health for the following year and a long life.

We still have not received IGC files from some pilots. I would like to kindly asks T1, TW, PV, GI from 15M class, PX and WZ from the open class, SJ1 from 20M class and JB, HI, GJ, FRZ, IHE and CX from the club class to bring ther files to the scoring office as soon as possible to enable the scorers to complete the results from yesterday.
