Thunderstorm is here and it is raining outside. Pilots are enjoying beer after a long day or delicious dinner the kitchen staff have prepared. To see the results from today check http://www.soaringspot.com/pc2011/results/ . There was just one pilot who completed the task. Great job EP!
2011-04-24 19:23:29
All gliders are counted. Despide the difficult weather there were pilots from the open class who completed the task. The weather prediction for tomorrow is quite pessimistic, but we will have to see tomorrow.
2011-04-24 18:38:42
Thunderstorm is approaching Nitra from northwest and it is expected to be in 30 minutes. Most of the gliders are safely at home. So far we know that EP completed the task. Accoarding to some pilots the weather was weak and eventhough they did not finish the task they had fun flying the ridge and they enjoyed the flight.

There is a possibility of thunderstorm that might hit Nitra later in the afternoon so make sure to secure your glider after the landing.
2011-04-24 17:04:22
Landings have started and there are many gliders on their final glide. Unfortunatelly, many of them were not able to complete the task. Wind is strong up to 8 m per second. There are also trailers leaving the airport.
2011-04-24 14:57:32
All gliders are in the air. The weather has improved, cumulus clouds appeared. Despite that, few gliders had difficulties to keep up in the air and needed a second tow.
2011-04-24 13:01:55
First launch moved and comfirmed to 13:30
2011-04-24 12:15:00
Due to the weak weather conditions lauching is moved to 13:00 and the task B is valid for all classes. B task is basically the same as the task A except the task time is shorter, 2 hours. It is sunny and warm outside, but no cumulus yet.
2011-04-24 11:04:30
Briefing is over and tasks are set. Assignes area task for all classes with the task time of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Approximately 250 km for all. First launch is planned for 12:30 loc due to higher temperature needed for cumulus to form. Eventhough the weather outside looks good, sun shines and cloudless sky, the situation from yesterday is most likely to be repeated.
