The competition day concluded successfully, with all classes experiencing moderate ridge flying conditions. It was a standout day for the open class, where the best pilots had the luxury of engaging in straight flight, optimizing their performance and strategy. Although altitudes up to 1100 QNH were attainable, many pilots found it unnecessary to climb to these heights, demonstrating the day's favorable conditions.
As the first day of competition wraps up, the atmosphere is pleasant, with competitors sharing their experiences and camaraderie in the evening.
