The day began with optimism despite high cloud cover. Grid opened on Runway 15, and the morning briefing took place at 10:00. Tasks were set with distances ranging from 203 to 270 km, with 2-hour AATs prepared as backups.
Weather conditions remained uncertain, and a sniffer was sent up to assess the situation. Launch was initially expected around 12:00, but it was postponed to 14:00. By 14:00, all competition tasks were officially cancelled due to continued unfavorable conditions.
Despite this, some pilots chose to take off afterward. A few gliders managed local flights, but soaring was limited, and they were only able to fly in the vicinity of Nitra.
