World Class Competition Day!
After yesterday farewell party we woke up into the nice looking sunny morning. This day was a reserve day for the world class for which the competition was still not valid. The weather looked very promising. Vladimir decided to use the strong northwest wind and created a task aiming along the hills to use ridge flying.
Launching started at 12:00 loc. After some time first outlandings had been reported. Accoarding to the pilots, ridge flying on Zobor was working quite well. There was also some thermal activity. They reached 1200m and continued along the hills. Unfortunatelly some pilots had difficulties because the ridge there was not working anymore and they had to outland. There were pilots who fighted longer and were able to fly more than 70km. Overall, there was no pilot able to finish the task and the competition was not valid for this class.
Despite that there was a small ceremony where the best pilots were awarded. Big thank you for all pilots for trying their best in this competition. You are great :)
