Waking up into the cloudy morning gave us a 50/50 chance for gliding. Fortunately, we were expecting a flyable window enabling us to fly at least short tasks. The grid was set and all classes received AAT. Around midday some cu clouds started to form under the cover and the weather started to improve. After the sniffer ´s check of the thermal activity first take off was confirmed to 12 am. Launching procedure went smoothly. All gliders were in the air in an hour and the race began. We were checking the situation from the ground and were nicely surprised. Around 3.30pm first gliders appeared on 10 k. Soon after many others reached the airfield. Talking to pilots, the weather was much better than expected (even despite the local rain showers) and due to high speed that were reached pilots had "small field" and the AATs were a bit underestimated (it was not possible to fly to the edge of the area because of the rain). Hope you forgive us and you enjoyed it anyways ;)
